Lend a Hand to Habitat for Humanity

For the second year in a row, Wescom has teamed up with Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity to build the Wescom Credit Union Habitat for Humanity Home 2007. During Phase I of the project, Wescom employees and members built the house on the grounds of the L.A. County Fair. Phase II of the project kicks off in January at the home's permanent site in Pomona, and Wescom members are invited to participate on Saturday, April 12, 19 and 26.

Phase II will involve drywalling, painting, building the garage, landscaping, and other finishing work. You don't need any special skills or construction knowledge to help. Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity will provide all necessary training, tools, hardhats, gloves, and water. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and attend a short training session.
